Anyone wanting a routine appointment with a GP will be given a telephone consultation in the first instance - the GP will decide if you need to attend the surgery
Urgent on-the day appointments (since 9.3.20) will all be a telephone triage call by the Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Practice Nurse appointments - there will no smoking cessation, no spirometry, smear / cervical screening testing unless urgent can wait until things settle all other checks will receive a telephone call ahead of your pre-booked appointment to be screened or to see if this can be dealt with over the phone.
Health Care Assistant appointments - currently being called be reception staff to be screened - from next week all appointments booked will be triaged before you attend.
Please DO NOT attend the surgery to order your repeat prescriptions, if you are registered for on-line services then please use this method to order your medication
If you are not registered for on-line services we would urge you to register but in the interim or if you do not have internet access then we will take the repeat over the telephone you will need to tell us what it is you need so have your repeat slip or your boxes to hand when you call
We still require at least 48 hours notice for processing repeats
We will do prescriptions up to 1 week in advance
Your repeats will be for the same amounts as normal
All repeats will go to your nominated pharmacy if you have if you do not have one please discuss with your preferred pharmacy or a member of reception if ordering your prescription over the telephone
