The symptoms of Ovarian cancer has four main symptoms:
• Persistent bloating (it doesn’t come and go)
• Difficulty eating or feeling full more quickly
• Needing to pee more frequently or urgently
• Pain around your tummy to the top of your thighs
Other symptoms could include indigestion, back pain, extreme tiredness for no obvious reason, a change in bowel habits (going more often than usual or less frequently), postmenopausal vaginal bleeding, and unexplained weight loss. These are symptoms of lots of different conditions, and can often be confused with things such as irritable bowel syndrome, an ovarian cyst, indigestion or a urine or kidney infection. However, symptoms are more likely to be a possible sign of ovarian cancer if they are persistent, frequent (occurring more than 12 times a month), severe or out of
the ordinary.
It’s important to remember ovarian cancer is not a common disease. Even if you are experiencing any of the above symptoms it’s unlikely that you have it, but it’s important to still get it checked out.
