About Us

Welcome to St Andrews House Medical Centre

St Andrews House Medical Centre is a research active organisation. We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or booking / cancel an appointment.

Partners in Care

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.

Our Philosophy

We are family-friendly, working-person-friendly and elderly-friendly. We take time to look after people with dementia, multiple illnesses, people who are frail, the newborn, small children, parents, carers, people with cancer, people with disabilities.

We understand illness is scary and people are anxious and we can all fall into depression. We try to help you stay healthy, help you to feel part of the community, stave off loneliness and lift your spirits.

We are friendly towards people who have addictions, need help to stop smoking or drinking, get fit, learn to move on, get jobs and find their place in the world. We are friendly to the young, elderly, middle-aged, straight, LGBT and everyone in between and wherever you come from on this planet.

We welcome feedback and learn from mistakes.

But we are not friendly to the people who shout and demand. The people who push into the queue. If we ask you to wait, it is because we are helping others. If we suggest you can help yourself it is because we see others who have done so and done well.

We are a part of your community and walk by your side during the difficult times. You make our job great.

Named GP

Every patient in our practice has a named GP. This is clearly recorded on your medical records. You can ask at any time, who your named GP is when you are dealing with the practice.
