When We Are Closed

St Andrews House is part of the Tameside & Glossop GP Hub service.  This is local GP’s working together to provide ROUTINE bookable appointments evenings and weekends for patients who find it difficult to see their doctor or nurse during normal surgery opening times.  These appointments can be to see a doctor consult a nurse or have blood tests, ear syringing or other procedures.  Please contact our receptionists for more details or to arrange one of these appointments.

If you have an urgent problem when the surgery is closed please call NHS 111 Service this is free from a landline and mobile number

Your call will be answered by NHS 111 Service. Please note that when contacting them your telephone conversation will be recorded.

You can also access NHS 111 online at 111.nhs.uk  NHS 111 is a 24hr a day 7 day a week service

There is also the facility of the walk-in centre available 09:00 – 21:00, 365 days a year at Tameside General Hospital (next to A&E). This will treat minor injuries and urgent care. The contact number for the walk in centre is 0161 922 6000

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
